Shhhhhhh.....

Mika and Sammy will be taking their annual assessment tests today. They will be taking the MAP assessment via the computer so I'll be offline for a while today. Sammy's test is only 45 minutes long. He'll take it on the kids' laptop. Mika's test is in three parts and takes approximately 3 hours to complete. She'll be using my laptop to take her test.

In the meantime, enjoy these photos of our newest crystals.

Our last attempt at growing a salt crystal garden yielded all blue crystals even though we had added other colors. We wanted to try again and this was the result. You can't really see it in the photo but we have white, light pink, dark pink, aqua, light aqua-green, and light lavendar colors in this one.

We also wanted to see if we could use our alum crystals as seed crystals to grow larger alum crystals. Well, we could! The three on the left are from our first set. The three on the right are our new larger crystals. Since we have no other use for the alum I bought, we want to keep growing them to see how big we can get. The kids are really liking these.
